Interactive Campus Map Help

The following is information on the usage of the Interactive Campus Map:


Zooming In and Out

Zooming on the map is controlled in two different ways; with the mouse scroll wheel or the in map control buttons. The mouse scroll wheel can be used to control zooming when the mouse pointer is over the map by rotating the mouse wheel forward to zoom in (as shown in the below left image) and rotating the mouse wheel backwards to zoom out (as shown in the below middle image). Map zooming can also be controlled by the in map plus (+) and minus (-) control buttons located in the top left corner of the map (outlined in red on the below right image).

Moving the Map Around

The map can be moved around by using the mouse when it is over the map (and not on a building marker) with a left click and hold then by dragging the mouse in the direction you want the map to move (as shown in the below left image). The map can also be moved around by using the movement controls in the top left corner of the map (outlined on the below right image).

Finding a Work Site

To have the Energy Savings Map center on a building work site of interest, first open the "Find Work Site" plain by clicking the "Find a Work Site" link (outlined in red on the below image) on the left menu by clicking on it.

Find Worksite

In the "Find Work Site" plain there are different lists of locations depending on how you are looking for a work site, these include "By Name" and "By Number". Select the proper list by clicking on the list type header (choices are outlined in red on the below image).

Find the work site in the scrollable list and left click on it to have the map center itself on that work site. (Has shown in the image below.)

Mouse Over Work Site Information

Holding the mouse over one of the work site number markers on the map (outlined in red on the below left image) will show a pop up balloon (outlined in red on the below right image) with work site information, work site picture, energy conservation measures, and links to leave comments & view the schedule.

Turning on Bird's Eye View

To turn on the Bird's Eye view for the Energy Savings map, click on the "Bird's eye" button (outlined in red on the below image) on the map menu in the top left of the map.


Logging in for Comments & Schedules

To be able to post comments or view the work site schedules you are required to login with your Link Blue user ID. More information on Link Blue accounts can be found on the UK Link Blue webpage.

To enter the site for posting & reading posts and viewing the work site schedules, click on the "Read & Post Comments" link (outlined in red on the below image)in the left menu by clicking on it. A dialog box will then open and ask for your Link Blue user ID and password.

Comments & Schedules

If you are using Internet Explorer 8 (dialog box will look like the below image) Be sure that the domain is set correctly for your Link Blue user ID, if it is not, then you have to enter the "ad\" (for main campus) or "mc\" (for med center) before your Link Blue user ID.
